About Norleq

We are a young company born in 2011, composed of people with several years of experience in the laboratory and process equipment market. The Norleq a company is dedicated to cutting-edge markets at the forefront of technology, while offering a quality support always seeking the best solution for its customers.

We currently represent a variety of manufacturers, many of them with an assumed leadership position in their markets. Most of them come from the European market – Germany, France, United Kingdom, etc. – but also from the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan.

With hubs in Porto and Lisbon, we cover the Portuguese mainland and islands market as well as the Iberian market for some of the lines we work with.



We recognise our importance in a value chain that includes suppliers and customers. We are governed by a set of objectives that we define and update and we take into account a sense of urgency in everything we do. We are a reliable company, we base our activities on transparency and we assume the ambition of always doing more and better.


Our mission is to supply equipment of recognised quality, providing a transversal response to the various needs of our clients at laboratory and process level, whether in the acquisition, training or maintenance of equipment. We intend to grow in a sustainable way for the benefit of our employees and partners.


To grow, in search of excellence, expanding our portfolio of represented companies, products, technologies and also Customers, with committed and satisfied collaborators, thus increasing our offer and knowledge in all the markets where we are present.


Adão Araujo

Adão Araújo is the founder and CEO of Norleq.

His passion for chemistry manifested itself early on, having attended the general and complementary chemistry course at Escola Industrial Infante D. Henrique. He then graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.

With professional experience in the petrochemical and paint industries, in 1992 he took over the direction of the new Industry and Environment Department in the company Elnor SA, making it grow remarkably in the following decades.

In 2012 he moved to Norleq, which he has since formed, bringing together a team of people with experience in the chemical and laboratory area and with a great deal of experience in after-sales service, a project that has developed steadily and sustainably.

With numerous trainings throughout his career, either in techniques or equipment of the several represented companies, stands out the MBA in operational and business management in the Catholic University in Porto finished in 2001.
